Hi Alan

Finally getting around to officially thanking you.

From the first time we met you we knew you were the right photographer for us. You are a true gentleman and so easy to be around. Meeting you in my parents house a couple of weeks before the wedding really put us at ease. It felt like you were an old friend we hadn’t seen in a while.

You were so efficient on the day and so calming. I remember asking you many times – what happens next! It was very reassuring to have a trusted professional on hand all day. Maybe you should add ‘wedding day manager’ to your long list of skills. And on top of all that you take amazing photographs!

We asked you not to take too many posed photographs as we wanted you to capture the day in a more laid back manner – and that you did. And even the posed photographs you took with such speed and calmness that I hardly remember you taking most of them. A true professional.

We are so happy with all the photographs. It is going to be extremely difficult to pick a selection for the album. We both had tears in our eyes when we saw them first – lets be honest – we both cried! The collection of photographs to music on the DVD is better than any wedding video and very emotional to watch. I think that is a true sign that you captured our day so well.

Thanks once again Alan for everything. We will definitely be recommending you to anyone who is getting married.

Hi Alan,

Mark and I just wanted to say thanks again for being so good to us on our wedding day.
We’ve always hated getting our picture taken (any pictures of us have our hands in front of our faces!!!)
But from the first meeting with you, our nerves and uncertainty disappeared. You immediately put us at ease, you have such a gentle calming influence and we knew you would be perfect for two photo haters like us!!!
And you followed this through on our big day, we didnt feel pressured to smile and pose, and felt you were just taking natural pictures, even in the group shots. We were so relaxed with you and you were so quick and organised getting all the family shots we needed so we could enjoy our day and you could take more unposed pictures. The experience was surprisingly enjoyable! Guests at the wedding commented on how nice you were and not’ pushy’ or ‘bossy’ like other wedding photographers. My bridesmaids thought you were the absolute best when you so kindly took a group shot of us all on their cameras for them, which really was your demeaner all day- like it was our day and you were just there to help.
The pictures are amazing and we really cant fault you! We would happily recommend you to any friends or family and wish you every success.
ps- we dont hate getting our picture taken as much anymore, we looked so nice in yours!!

We got our cd in the post yesterday and I spent all day today looking at the photos! We absolutely love every single one of them, you did such a brilliant job we’re so happy! We really love all the natural relaxed shots you took, they are exactly what we wanted! All our family and friends who have seen them so far think they’re beautiful!

We just want to say a massive thanks for everything so far. You have been so easy to deal with, both before the wedding and on the day. I also want to thank you for being such a calming influence in my house on the morning of the wedding, I was very close to having a meltdown at one stage!!!

We will hopefully be in contact with you very shortly once we’ve made a decision on the photos we want included in our album…it’s not going to be easy!

Hi Alan,

We would like to thank you the fantastic pictures that you took of
our wedding day.

When we first met with you I told you that I didnt like getting
pictures taken, I felt that I didnt take a nice picture. I asked you
to take all candid pictures on the day. Well, I have to say you are
the first person that has EVER made me relax for the camera and I love
the pictures of me they are all so nice and natural, you made me so at
ease. I actually enjoying getting them taken .

Alan you captured the day so brilliantly from early morning
preparations to the first dance. The pictures carry all the emotions
of the day and all the small details /events of the day that I wouldnt
have even thought of, it is so nice to see the groups of family and
friends laughing and talking together The professionalism in which you
got our familes together for the photos and the children pictures was
outstanding.

There are so many photographs and every one tells a part of the day.
the DVD is brill, it is like a video of the day with the music ( thank
you so much  for the thoughtfullness of using the music that we had
selected for the cermony in the DVD – its not to say that more than a
few tears were shed).

The timing in which the formal photos were taken were so fast I
couldnt believe they were done, I couldnt beliver how many pictures
that you got on the day and we didnt even realise that they were being
taken.

Alan you are a great photoggrapher and I will most defentily be recommending you to others.

Thank you so much for capturing the essence of our wedding in your wonderful photos. We love them! They really encapsulate the atmosphere of the day and it is fabulous to see so many smiles on the faces of our families and friends. Each photo speaks a thousand words; they are natural and genuine and will be treasured for years to come.

You have a unique gift and captured many special moments in a discreet and unobtrusive manner. You were fantastic with all the children even allowing them to help you and in so doing gaining their trust so that they would pose for pictures. To have such lovely pictures of our nieces and nephews is priceless. . It also was a great surprise to have such a lovely picture of our dog Molly -she looks so cute!!

It is wonderful not only to have the traditional style photos but also to have the natural, spontaneous pictures of ourselves, family and friends. The DVD set to music is fantastic and nearly surpasses the need for a videographer at your wedding. The website is brilliant and it is lovely that our family abroad can see all the photos and don’t have to wait till the next time they are home to see them.

It was a pleasure having you as our wedding photographer. You went above and beyond all our expectations. Thank you so much – you truly are a gentleman and one great photographer.

I’d like to recommend Alan Mooney as the photographer for any event. Alan did our wedding photography in August 2010. All I can say is he did an amazing job. We had a civil ceremony in the Clanard Court Hotel in Athy. Alan captured the essence of that day in pictures. I had asked Alan to take mainly informal and candid shots to capture the spirit and feeling of the day. He did precisely this in an unobtrusive way. Our wedding was a relaxed and light hearted affair and many of the photos reflect this. Our guests commented on how easy going and fun our wedding was and you can see this through the photos.

Alan provided CD of all our photos which I can print off myself, anytime. The photos are also hosted on Alan’s website, which is a great way of sharing our photos with our friends and family. He also provided a DVD of the photos set to music, which I wasn’t expecting to receive. I love it. I love looking at it. The first time I watched it I was in tears, it was so emotional. The music accompanying the photo gallery is really uplifting and happy. We have written a testimonial and to be honest Alan is was hard to put in writing how happy we were with you, but we have done our best as follows:

Firstly Alan we would like to start off by saying that we would love to know if there is somewhere we could go to inform all brides and grooms to book you. Honestly to any bride or groom reading this, you do not know what you are missing. ” One hell of a photographer”. The results are Alan’s testament. I(Fiona) worked in the Hotel Industry for years and met 100′s of photographers and all I can say hand on heart, 100% that Alan Mooney is the best photographer in Ireland.
To sum Alan Mooney up….. pure and utter gentleman, professional, extremely fantastic at what he does, very calming, good laugh and also extremely competitive in price. Alan we do not know how to thank you enough. We are thrilled with our photographs and we got 100′s of them from you and there is not 1 photograph that we do not like. As you know most people do not like getting photographs taken and you made each and everyone of them special and a pleasure to look at.

From the moment we met Alan we knew he was the photographer we were going to choose as he put us at ease immediately and we knew he was genuine. He wasn’t pushing or selling too hard. Alan doesn’t need to sell, work just flows into him and we can see why. Alan met with us a few weeks before the wedding at Trim Castle to show us exactly where the photographs will take place. This made it is much easier on the day and saved a lot of time.

Two days before our wedding we heard the weather was not going to be good, so we called Alan and asked him if he had an alternative plans to Trim Castle if it rains on the day. Having spoken to Alan he automatically put us at ease and came up with alternatives but ended the call by saying ” he heard it was going to be a good day and that the evening was going to be bad”. Alan you have no idea how much that meant to us. But in saying that, that is typical you Alan, very calm, collected and a very easy going guy.

All our families have commented on your work and said you were a pleasure to deal with on the day. No one noticed you and you got the job done in a short space of time with no hassle. All we can say to anyone out there is – if you can get Alan Mooney on your special day, you are a lucky couple!! Don’t even think about it book Alan Immediately , you will NOT be sorry.

Alan, thank you for making our day so special and treating us with huge respect. We have fantastic memories all THANKS TO YOU.

Thank you!!! We absolutely love the photographs. It was mentioned many times on the day how unobtrusive you were and yet looking through the photographs, the variety of shots was amazing. Not only did you manage to get all of the photographs we had asked for, but the unexpected shots are our favourites. The photos of my dog Chrissie were an unexpected and fantastic surprise. You also managed to get some beautiful photographs of my 1 year old nephew/pageboy Nathan. You truly managed to capture the essence of the day and all of the emotions, from joy to tears to laughter. Fresh tears were shed by many while looking at the slideshow, which was set to a perfect soundtrack. Words cannot express how happy we are with the photos you have given us to cherish.

“Alan Mooney was our photographer for our wedding in the Station House in March 2010 and we could not recommend him highly enough. We chose Alan because we loved his reportage style of photography. Neither of us are too keen on being photographed and as we were not having a videographer we really wanted to have lots and lots of casual shots of the wedding day as it progressed. From the initial meeting with Alan we knew that we were going to be very happy with his services and this proved correct on the day.

Alan seemed to be everywhere but nowhere at the same time – we never really noticed him and yet the shots he got of us and our guests throughout the day are fantastic. I particularly remember at one stage standing outside our venue talking with some friends and Alan just walking by taking random shots of the guests as they went about enjoying themselves. These photos are now a priceless reminder of the great day we had. The DVD presentation of these photos is set to music, the whole build up to the marriage ceremony and the ceremony itself is captured beautifully and we really enjoyed watching this as it brought all the memories back. Our own little masterpiece!

So many people have commented on Alan and how he was really committed to capturing our day. Even the formal shots were taken with the minimum of fuss but our favourites are definitley the casual, un-posed shots of us all having a laugh and enjoying our wedding.
